Buying a home

Explore resources for your journey to homeownership

Homeownership is a key part of the American Dream

The wealth gap. It's never been higher between homeowners and renters. We recognize the challenges many first-generation homeowners face in reaching this important milestone. According to PR Newswire®, 60% of Gen Z worry they might never own a home, and we're here to change that narrative and help make homeownership accessible to more people.

At Progressive, we believe progress is for all. That's why our Open the House initiative is dedicated to supporting aspiring homeowners in achieving their dream.

To face affordability challenges, we're providing financial resources to help manage upfront costs, like down payments, and educational tools to navigate the homebuying process with confidence.

In 2024, we contributed over $7M

With over $2 million of this going toward helping people buy a home including homeowner counseling, housing access programs, and down payment assistance.
